So when her feed started filling up with images of her home renovation journey, we were waiting with bated breath to peep the end result. Glimpses shared of the progress promised ample interior inspo to admire, and now, with the work done and dusted, we’ve seen more than enough to know she delivered.

Working with architects at Flower Michelin, she explains that the transformation was extensive.

“We extended into the side return and out into the garden, as well as adding a small outrigger bedroom between the first floor and loft,” she told Sheerluxe. “We also took out a chimney breast, turned a bedroom into a bathroom and added a skylight to flood the hallway with daylight. With the rewiring, replumbing, numerous walls moving and one ceiling falling down, it ended up being a bit of a gutting.”

Frankly, all the props to her as our brains hurt just reading that.

As she explained to House & Garden, the trick with decorating was curating a beautiful space without “making a museum of the house.” The first-time renovator revealed that she mostly relied on vintage finds and antiques to furnish the home, admitting to loving the thrill of the hunt as well as feeling that second-hand pieces add more character to a space.

Describing the overall vibes as “warm, layered and eclectic,” the content creator explained that her desire for a homely space that would outlast trends drove the design. “I like spaces to feel really welcoming, comfortable and timeless,” she said. “Sometimes, people think timeless means devoid of colour or quirks, but I disagree. Timeless means sticking to your own taste, ignoring trends and staying true to that vision as much as you can. I love homes where you feel instantly calm, dogs are allowed on the furniture, and there’s lots of bits and pieces that tell you something about who lives there.”

Sharing the home with her husband—whom she only just wedded in a Greek ceremony—and their five-year-old dog, Finn, the home was taken on after they felt they had outgrown their two-bedroom flat down the road. But of course, such a mammoth project—that she admitted went way over budget—required a great deal of stressful planning, sourcing and juggling.

The sitting room that joins the blue room and the kitchen is where Williams indulged. “I just wanted to have somewhere where I could have some really nice furniture and not think too practically,” she told The Sunday Times Style.

Her favourite room in the house is the den that she calls the ‘blue snug room’. It features her signature blue walls and a couch by Maker&Son.

“It feels so cosy and I love all the different colours, textures, and the bookshelves that frame the entrance,” she told Sheerluxe.

Despite a love of colour, the main bedroom has been kept quite neutral.

“I wanted it to be quite calm and zen” she said in a video for The Sunday Times Style.

Somewhat inspired by The Sopranos, Williams also kept her ensuite neutral, allowing the terracotta marble to shine.
